The Developer Says...

Chronicle: Unit Eight is a fast-paced arcade-style shooting game featuring bullet hell mechanics and rogue-like elements. Inspired by classic vertical shooters such as Raiden and Ikaruga, the game combines intense gameplay with RPG-style progression. Players must dodge enemy attacks and collect power-ups and modifications to increase their strength on each run. Scraps collected from defeated enemies can be used to upgrade your ship for future runs. Players will also uncover secrets and confront a formidable space pirate boss on their quest for victory.

The mercenary organization Chronicle has assigned Atlas, a skilled mercenary, and her ship, Unit Eight, to infiltrate and dismantle a space pirate group's secret weapon designed to destroy planets. As a member of Chronicle, Atlas is equipped with the expertise and resources necessary to complete this high-stakes mission.

Unlock and discover new weapon combinations, defensive tactics, abilities, bombs, and other upgrades to enhance your gameplay and increase your chances of success.

Upon completing each run, players can explore the extensive perk tree and customize their ship with various modifications, weapons, defensive maneuvers, and other upgrades.

In addition to the main campaign, players can also test their skills in Boss Rush mode or compete for the top spot on the leaderboards in Arcade mode.

The ultimate goal is to defeat the space pirate organization and prevent the destruction of all known planets by destroying their secret weapon.
