The Developer Says...

Stoplights is all about management, planning and efficiency. Your goal is to establish cities near resources, connect them together with rails and manage automatic train routes by placing traffic lights.

The needs of a city grow with time, so expect your rail network to be stress tested in an increasingly complex network of intermingling trains.

Inefficient routes, misplaced signals or lots of time spent waiting at a junction will be the difference between success and failure.

CORE MECHANICS

  • Build cities, rails, and train signals

  • Manage traffic by dividing long rails into shorter segments via signals

  • Indirectly control automatic train routes, which seek out nearest viable and unobstructed resources in connected cities

  • Win by reaching the last day without any city running out of demanded resources

  • Play at your own pace - pause or fast forward the simulation at will

MORE INFO

  • Includes tutorial videos to help grasp the game mechanics

  • Features a selection of hand crafted maps, with semi-random resource placements each time

  • Map scenarios are hand-crafted with pseudo-random outcomes to ensure fairness and balance, but also repeatability

  • 12 difficulty settings to play around with, which influence score multiplier and replay value

  • Language-independent game, meaning there is virtually no text during gameplay (except for a few settings)

  • Difficulty-influenced leaderboards

  • Trains can collide with each other
