You play as the King, assembling a party of four heroes to travel through different realms and confront each realm’s regent. The game’s story is mainly told through brief, non-combat events encountered along the way.
Combat is an action auto-battler: heroes attack on their own, while you control the party’s positioning. Choose heroes with complementary abilities, match their synergies, and face enemy groups and bosses at the end of zones.
After encounters, spend rewards in shops to hire heroes, upgrade your team, and buy items. Runs also include choices that can reward you with items or resources; zones can be replayed individually, and Endless Mode strings them together with scaling difficulty.
