Deadhaus Sonata

From the Devs

From the creative director of Eternal Darkness and Legacy of Kain, Denis Dyack returns once more, only this time with a small indie team of fewer than 10 developers.

Early Access players are supporting a small indie team building Deadhaus Sonata directly with the community.

Games shouldn’t vanish. Worlds shouldn’t die. Players shouldn’t lose what they’ve built.

We believe the future belongs to living games. Worlds that persist, evolve, and stay in the hands of the players who shape them. POWERED BY THE NEW ETERNITY ENGINE, Deadhaus Sonata is designed to endure, a foundation that supports long-term evolution, player-driven content, and a future where the game doesn’t disappear, it grows.

Something new is coming… and it changes what it means for a game to last.

Become the undead and step into the iconic role of the Vampire. Feed on the living to grow stronger, unlock supernatural abilities, and evolve through a progression path built around dominance and mastery. Other undead forms wait in the dark, ready to be revealed.

Explore a land shattered by divine war and corruption. Malorum is filled with haunted fortresses, forgotten kingdoms, and ruins shaped by ancient history. Every discovery reveals new layers of lore where nothing is ever as it first appears.

Harness supernatural mobility, strike with precision, and unleash abilities that reward timing, positioning, and clever decision-making. Your undead form is your greatest weapon, and more forms will emerge as your power grows.

Deadhaus Sonata features a tarot-based skill system where every card represents arcane power shaped by Malorum’s forgotten history. Cards are earned through quests, battles, and exploration, and each one unlocks new abilities that can be mixed, matched, and upgraded.

Build for precision, raw power, mobility, tanking, or supernatural control. The tarot system gives you endless ways to refine your build and unleash devastating forces against the living.

Loot in Deadhaus Sonata is earned through feats that track your actions, history, and performance, not random drops. Every item is shaped by what you do.

Gear, artifacts, legendary items, and tarot cards all tie into Malorum’s supernatural and political history. Playing is crafting, and your past becomes a resource that influences your future.

Deadhaus Sonata is a story-driven experience, featuring more than 15 hours of professionally voiced narration.

Created by Denis Dyack, known for his work on Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, and Too Human, Deadhaus Sonata is a new dark fantasy world shaped by psychological depth, interconnected lore, and player-driven consequence. Every choice leaves a mark on your character and the world around you, with sentient gear, persistent events, and outcomes shaped by time, place, and action.
