You play as Melinoë, princess of the Underworld and a witch trained to take on the Titan of Time, who has seized her home and captured her family. From a camp called the Crossroads, she sets out on repeated journeys through the Underworld and toward Olympus.
Battle enemies in isometric rooms using a changing arsenal of weapons, each with its own attacks and charged abilities that spend magick. Casts can hold enemies in place, while boons from Olympian gods, keepsakes, and other powers let you shape a build as each run unfolds.
A failed run returns Melinoë to the Crossroads, where gathered resources unlock lasting upgrades, Arcana cards, familiars, and crafting options.
