Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion

You play as a mischievous turnip who is evicted after failing to pay taxes and must work off a debt to Mayor Onion. The journey takes you through a vegetable community whose troubles reach beyond the unpaid bill.

Explore connected areas, meet fruit and vegetable characters, take on their quests, solve puzzles, and fight animals and other threats. You can also tear up tax documents and other papers as you travel.

The adventure mixes top-down exploration with light puzzle-solving and action combat. After completing the main story, an endless train mode offers repeated combat encounters with changing enemy modifiers and upgrades.

In this helpfulness-selected sample, players often enjoy the silly dialogue, playful premise, cute presentation, and catchy music, describing the adventure as an approachable, relaxed few-hours experience. Some also appreciate its unexpectedly deeper story and post-game mode. Opinions differ on the gameplay: several find the combat and puzzles too simple, while others value the easygoing challenge; short length and, in some reviews, awkward controls are recurring criticisms.
