Exit the Gungeon is a small, spin-off 'dungeon climber' immediately following the adventures of the misfit Gungeoneers.
Developed by Dodge Roll, Singlecore · Published by Devolver Digital

The Gungeon is collapsing, and the misfit Gungeoneers must escape by ascending through its dangerous floors. You play as one of them, battling Gundead and pausing to speak with familiar and new characters along the way.
Combat unfolds in side-view arenas, often aboard rising elevators where waves of enemies and bullets close in. Jump, double-jump, and dodge while firing; your enchanted gun changes over time, with your combo affecting the weapons it can become.
Runs move through character-specific routes with shifting rooms, hazards, shops, and boss encounters. Items, weapon options, NPC quests, and minigames add variety and goals beyond surviving each ascent.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its fast, arcade-style runs, goofy Gungeon charm, and distinctive presentation, with some appreciating the constantly changing weapons as a source of surprise. Others find the combat too chaotic in its small arenas, the runs repetitive, or the reduced weapon and item interactions less satisfying than in the earlier game. Several reviews also report a Meowitzer boss bug that can halt a run.
