Play as a sentient robot exploring a post-apocalyptic open world. Establish a base, explore the map, and expand your operations with mining outposts.
Build or fortify locations, construct defenses against increasingly aggressive robots, and create manufacturing systems that produce items automatically.
Use visual programming to connect objects and control systems: tripwires can trigger defenses, buttons can lock down a base, and distant outposts can be operated remotely. Hosted multiplayer supports up to eight invited friends.
Some players enjoy experimenting with the visual programming and base-building systems, especially creating defenses and automated setups. Others praise the game's style and find exploring and crafting engaging. These positives are tempered by frequent concerns about the lack of updates, missing loot in some versions, save or stability problems, and limited guidance or content.
As of now, Mechanica’s development has been halted. For further updates are planned for the foreseeable future.
