When Roman soldiers raid their village and capture its inhabitants, Asterix and Obelix set out with Dogmatix to rescue them. Their journey crosses regions including Normandy, Greece, Helvetia, Egypt, and Rome.
Play as Asterix and Obelix through 3D platforming levels that mix brawling with Romans and other foes, light puzzles, jumps, and exploration. Collect Roman helmets and other items, find hidden collectibles, and use combat abilities to handle groups of enemies.
The Romastered edition lets you switch between updated and original graphics during play; some collectibles and interactions differ between the modes. It also includes timed coin-collecting and race challenges, plus an Extreme mode with tougher, more numerous Romans.
