Outcore: Desktop Adventure

Lumi, a lost girl who appears on your desktop, needs your help uncovering who she is and why she arrived on your computer. Work with her to recover her memories and piece together her story.

Progress by searching desktop folders for memory files and solving puzzles that reach beyond the game window. You may need to open apps such as Paint or Notepad and interact with your computer as part of the adventure.

The game also shifts into 2D platforming and character encounters, mixing those sections with desktop puzzles as Lumi's memories are unlocked. Its activities range from exploration and puzzle solving to platforming and fights.

Players in the supplied reviews often highlight the unusual use of the desktop and Windows apps as part of the puzzles, alongside a funny, surprising story and Lumi's memorable presence. Several also enjoy the mix of gameplay styles. Some reviewers find the platforming awkward, and a few note that the adventure is short.
