CROSSBOW: Bloodnight

In 1666, as plague and fire ravage London, an ancient order of crossbow hunters faces a demonic threat. You take the role of one of these hunters, fighting the creatures in an arena inspired by a desecrated abbey courtyard.

Combat centers on an automatic crossbow with three firing modes. Fight off waves of supernatural enemies, use dashes, jumps, and bunny hops to stay mobile, and unleash a special attack when it has recharged.

Each run is a score attack: survive as long as possible, compete on global leaderboards, and return quickly after death for another attempt. Defeated enemies also provide spirits that empower the crossbow.

Some players enjoy the fast movement, short score-chasing runs, and challenge of improving through repeated attempts; others also appreciate the gothic setting and crossbow combat. Negative reviews frequently describe the difficulty as punishing or unfair, and say the small number of arenas, enemies, and weapons leaves the experience feeling limited.
