Two prisoners awaken in Castle Rock, a mysterious Antarctic realm, and must work together to escape. Their journey takes them from the castle’s dungeons through its halls and beyond, as they uncover more about the place and its inhabitants.
This is a two-player co-op puzzle adventure with no solo mode. Players communicate using walkie-talkies, describe what they see, and combine information that is often split between them to solve puzzles and get through dangerous situations.
Progress means exploring new areas and tackling different kinds of puzzles, sometimes coordinating actions under time pressure. Players also make choices about how to proceed as the story’s mystery unfolds; both players need a microphone and an internet connection.
Players who enjoy the game often praise how it makes communication and teamwork essential: partners must describe different clues, compare information, and coordinate to make progress. Reviews also appreciate the range and challenge of the puzzles, with solutions often feeling rewarding, as well as the castle’s atmosphere and presentation. Some players find certain puzzles confusing or frustrating, and opinions on the story and ending vary.
