Botany Manor

Set in 19th-century England, Botany Manor follows retired botanist Arabella Greene as she works to complete her research book, Forgotten Flora. Explore the manor and its gardens, finding seeds and traces of Arabella's life along the way.

Each plant has unusual growing requirements to uncover. Read letters, books, posters, and other clues, then work out which information applies to each plant and how to reproduce its needs using the manor's spaces and devices.

Growing plants advances the research and opens the way through new areas. The story emerges through documents and objects around the estate, revealing more about Arabella's career and the barriers she faced as a woman pursuing science.

Players often enjoy the peaceful manor and gardens, the colorful presentation, and the satisfying process of matching clues to plants and watching them bloom. Many also value the story of Arabella's scientific work as it unfolds through letters and other documents. Some reviewers find the puzzles quite easy and the overall experience short; a frequently raised usability complaint is that found clues cannot be reread in the journal, leading to backtracking.
