In the near-future city of Farca, private detective and hacker Isabella Song works from her apartment while under house arrest. Clients bring her cases that draw her into the city’s criminal and corporate networks.
Through a computer interface, she hacks cameras and other devices, operates drones and robots, searches for information, and gathers evidence. She connects leads, solves code and logic puzzles, and questions contacts over video calls, using evidence or deductions to challenge their accounts.
The cases build into a larger story, with recurring people and events linking investigations. Decisions in conversations and cases can have consequences for characters and later events, and the story has multiple possible endings.
Players who enjoyed Song of Farca often praised its connected detective story, remote-hacking premise, and distinctive split-screen presentation. Some found the investigations and puzzles engaging, while others felt the repeated tasks and limited freedom wore thin; opinions on the story and choices also varied.
