You play as an unlockable criminal tearing through a top-down city. There is no story campaign to follow; each run centers on causing chaos and staying alive as long as possible.
Shoot enemies, grab power-ups and cash, and hijack vehicles ranging from cars to military hardware. As the rampage continues, the wanted level rises and increasingly powerful forces pursue you. Runs can end with capture or by surviving until the city's nuclear strike.
Cash and challenges feed into progression between runs: buy upgrades and unlock characters with different abilities or starting gear. A map editor lets players create custom city maps.
