Goshe survives a devastating loss with power gained through a curse. As he travels, your choices shape his thoughts and attachments, including whether he pursues power for himself or risks his life for others.
The adventure unfolds through narrated, gamebook-style events. Choices, character attributes, and carried items can affect how situations resolve; some events use dice checks. Decisions accumulate over the journey and lead into two routes and four possible endings.
Combat combines turn-based planning with quick-time defenses. You and your opponent each take three actions per turn, managing resources and choosing attacks, skills, spells, items, dodges, or guards. Goshe can grow through experience and class abilities, with different attribute investments affecting both battles and events.
Players frequently praise the branching story, the weight of choices, and the way routes and endings reflect the protagonist’s decisions. Many also enjoy the characters and the dice-based events. Combat earns praise from players who like planning around enemy patterns and timing defenses, but reviews repeatedly describe its QTE demands and lengthy fights as difficult or tiring, making this a notably divided part of the experience.
