You play as the Hunter, an archer accompanied by an eagle, exploring a mystical island under a curse of darkness. Your journey takes you through ancient ruins and varied natural regions as you seek to restore light and confront the force behind the curse.
Travel is built around shooting targets with your bow to gain speed while running, then gliding and climbing with help from your eagle. With no map to follow, you choose where to go and can use spirit sight to reveal nearby points of interest.
Explore each region to solve environmental puzzles, find lightstones and lore, and activate towers that open the way to a corrupted spirit. Progress also brings upgrades that expand your eagle-assisted movement, while boss encounters combine archery, timing, and movement.
