FIFA 22 is a football game built around playing matches with a wide selection of teams, players, leagues, and stadiums. You control a side on the pitch, passing, defending, and shooting against the game or other players.
In Career Mode, you can manage a club or follow a player’s career. As a manager, you can create a club, design its kits and stadium, and guide it through competitions; as a player, you progress through a professional journey.
VOLTA Football offers street-style matches with a custom player, gear, solo play, or a squad, alongside seasonal events and rewards. In FIFA Ultimate Team, you assemble a squad from players around the world, customize your club, and play against AI or other players.
In this sample, players often enjoy the match gameplay and find it entertaining to return to, with Career Mode—especially managing a club—frequently singled out for its long-term appeal. Some also value playing locally with friends or family and the street mode. Opinions differ on the gameplay, and some reviews focus instead on access and technical frustrations.

| Multiplayer | FIFA 22 supports both single-player and multiplayer. Store metadata confirms Online PvP, Online Co-op, Shared/Split Screen PvP, and Shared/Split Screen Co-op. The text and reviews confirm online play against other players, online co-op in modes such as Seasons Co-op and VOLTA, and local couch play with friends via split/shared screen. Reviews also mention Pro Clubs and indicate matches can involve large team sizes, including references to 11v11. |
| Multiplayer & mods | No official multiplayer mod support is described. One review mentions a mod to prevent alt-tab forfeits on PC, but this does not add or change multiplayer modes. |
