Born of Bread follows Loaf, a newly created flour golem, as beings from another age cause trouble across the land. With new companions, he travels through varied regions and becomes caught up in a threat to the world.
Explore 2.5D environments, talk with characters, take on side quests, and look for treasures and hidden paths. Companion abilities help overcome obstacles and can also be used in battles; some areas invite you to return after gaining new abilities.
Combat is turn-based, with timed button prompts for attacks and defense. Loaf uses weapons, while companions bring their own attacks and skills; enemies have weaknesses and resistances. Find weapons and upgrades, arrange weapons in limited backpack space, and respond to requests from Dub’s battle audience for rewards.

Loaf can't do it alone: Meet new friends during your adventure, each with their own abilities and personality. Use their unique skills to overcome threats and obstacles whether in fights or when exploring. Together, you’ll engage with varied NPCs, take on side-quests, and find treasures!
Find equipable weapons and upgrades by exploring and completing quests. Each weapon and buddy attack has a button prompt associated with it that you'll need to successfully execute if you want to deal maximum damage! However, make sure you have the right weapon for the job since enemies can have a resistance and a weakness.
While you fight, your dragon buddy Dub, who lets you save your progression while adventuring, will stream your fights to a fake audience with his little laptop! Gather more viewers and answer their demands to get rewards!
