In the war-torn province of Benerio, mercenary captain Eden is drawn into a rebellion against the Empire. You lead his allies through a campaign of battles and story chapters.
Battles take place on grid-based maps, where you position a squad and use unit classes, weapons, magic, and terrain to tackle enemy forces. Sieges, bosses, and monsters call for different tactics, and some missions have objectives beyond defeating every enemy.
Between battles, visit camp to talk with companions, take on side quests, recruit allies, and build relationships through activities and gifts. Train and equip a roster of more than 20 playable characters across 10 classes, unlocking skills and abilities; New Game+ carries over selected stats and items.
