Metal Slug Tactics casts you as the leader of the Peregrine Falcons, a squad fighting General Morden and the Rebel Army. Choose operatives from the series and take them into turn-based missions across a campaign.
Battles play out on tile-based maps with mission objectives and enemy threats to manage. Moving farther builds Adrenaline for special actions and Dodge to help avoid incoming attacks, while positioning teammates to trigger Sync attacks lets them join one another's shots.
Runs take your squad through a choice of missions and regions before boss encounters. Operatives gain experience during a run, and rewards can be spent between runs to unlock or improve weapons, loadouts, and other options; additional characters and gear are unlocked through play.
