Conquest of Elysium 5 is a quick turn based fantasy strategy game with a touch of rogue-like. The game is full of depth, details and monsters. There are also a huge number of factions, each with its own unique gameplay and magic rituals.

Choose a fantasy faction and its leader, then compete to control Elysium. The factions have different playstyles, goals, and ways of using the map, so a forest-dwelling faction and a mine-focused faction, for example, build power in different ways.
Move commanders and their armies across the map, capture settlements and resource sites, and recruit or summon forces. Faction-specific resources fuel rituals and other abilities; spellcasters can also use combat spells, while battles resolve automatically.
Maps are randomly generated and populated with independent forces, monsters, rival factions, and events that can disrupt plans. The world includes ten planes, which factions may sometimes reach and explore, and the mix of map conditions, events, and faction mechanics varies from game to game.
In the supplied reviews, players often praise the sharply different faction playstyles, strategic depth, and replay value of the randomly generated maps. Many also enjoy the surprising, sometimes disastrous events and battles that create memorable campaign stories. Some reviewers find the experience held back by a clunky interface, a steep learning curve, unpredictable losses, weak AI, or limited documentation.
