Malum

Malum is a first-person horror survival game for one to four players. You investigate places such as abandoned bunkers, sewers, and asylums while demons stalk the area.

Search locations for clues and artifacts, solve puzzles, and evade demons with different abilities and behaviors. Once you assemble the required artifacts, you can summon a weapon and fight back.

Missions take place across multiple maps, each with its own demon, and offer different difficulty settings. You can play as different characters and earn money after rounds to buy van cosmetics and consumable items for later missions.

Some players praise the oppressive atmosphere and the exploration, investigation, and puzzle-solving. Co-op and the character roster also appeal to some reviewers, including as a source of humor. Criticism more often focuses on monster AI and encounters, while other complaints mention glitches or unresponsive hotkeys, difficult visibility in dark areas, and repetitive gameplay.
