PropHunter is an online team-based hide-and-seek game. Players take the role of props, who disguise themselves as objects in the map, or hunters, who try to find them.
Props can blend in, move to a better hiding place, or make noise to draw hunters in. Hunters scan the environment and try to identify and eliminate player-controlled objects before time expires.
Each side has special abilities, available by picking up randomly appearing cards around the level. Caught props join the hunters, while eliminated hunters join the props, changing the teams as the round unfolds.
Players who enjoy PropHunter often praise the funny, deceptive hide-and-seek rounds, especially when playing with friends: disguises and close calls create shared laughs, while abilities add variety. Some also appreciate the range of maps and props. A recurring caveat is that sparse public lobbies can make it difficult to find a group to play with.
