Hana the Tanuki travels through dreamscapes shaped by her memories, heading for the Moon while uncovering secrets about the Lunistice. Her journey passes through settings such as an old shrine, a water park, and a world made of food.

Each linear stage is a route of platforms and hazards to cross by running, jumping, and attacking enemies. Players can collect paper cranes and other secrets, use stage-specific features such as rails, and reach the goal.

Stages track collectibles, deaths, and completion time, with S-ranks and hidden finds giving reasons to replay. After completing the game, players can revisit the levels as two additional characters whose different abilities change how they move through them.
