GWENT: Rogue Mage is a first single-player expansion to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. It combines elements of roguelike, deckbuilding, and strategy games with GWENT card battles.

Set centuries before Geralt’s time, the game follows the mage Alzur and his companion Lily as they seek to create a weapon against the monsters unleashed by the Conjunction of the Spheres.
Travel across a map of branching routes and face battles and encounters along the way. Card battles use Gwent rules but resolve in a single round; you play first, and your opponent plays last.
Choose a starting deck and shape it during each run by collecting cards and treasures. Alzur can also spend energy to cast spells from his Grimoire, with energy replenished at Places of Power and through encounters. Campaign progress unlocks cards and bonuses, and Curses add difficulty modifiers.
Some reviewers enjoy having a solo Gwent experience and praise the tactical card play, combo-building, and challenge of boss battles. Others find the randomness, limited deck customization, or repeated runs frustrating. Positive comments also mention the card artwork and Witcher setting, while some reviewers wanted more story.
