You command a small scout ship and its crew in an unfamiliar region of space. As you explore, you encounter alien civilizations, strange phenomena, and mysteries connected to the wider story.
Travel between star systems, scan planets, investigate anomalies and artifacts, collect resources, and take on story and side missions. Your encounters with alien factions can lead to trade, cooperation, or combat.
Build and rearrange your ship from modular components, then use discoveries to earn Research Points and unlock technologies, weapons, and upgrades. Crew skills affect some investigations, while ship design and preparation shape tactical space battles.
