Fears to Fathom - Norwood Hitchhike

You play as Holly Gardner, a 19-year-old driving home from a gaming convention. After traffic leads her onto a different route, strange encounters bring her to a roadside motel in Norwood Valley.

Drive along quiet roads, deal with obstacles and simple objectives, and explore places such as a gas station and motel. Conversations and incoming texts fill in details as Holly meets people along the way.

This short psychological horror episode builds suspense through exploration, choices, and moments of hiding. Its VHS-style presentation includes environmental sound and a feature that can pick up player voice activity.

Players who enjoy the episode often praise its slow-building tension, unsettling atmosphere, and grounded story, with the VHS look and sound design adding to the unease. Some also like that it delivers a compact horror story. Other reviewers find it too short or slow, and criticize clunky controls, repetitive tasks, and having to replay sections after a setback.
