Treason is a 3-16 player party shooter of teamwork and betrayal, set among Italian mobsters. Use proximity voice chat, unique abilities/gadgets, and strategy to prove your innocence or deceive others.

Each round begins with the Don’s murder. Players take on roles such as Innocent, Traitor, Detective, or Doctor, and must decide whom to trust. Traitors try to eliminate all Innocents; the opposing team must identify and eliminate the Traitors.
Players search the map for clues and deliver them to the Clue Processing Unit to reveal a Traitor. Traitors can sabotage the unit, while the Detective can scan bodies and investigate deaths. Proximity voice chat gives players a way to share suspicions or mislead one another.
Combat and support depend on your role and class. Slim, Medium, and Heavy classes have different stats and abilities, while role-specific tools include healing, reviving, locating players, disguises, traps, and weapons.
Players who enjoy the game often highlight its round-based social deduction and the unpredictable mix of teamwork, suspicion, and gunfights, especially when playing with friends. Reviews also praise its art style, familiar Trouble in Terrorist Town feel, gunplay, and soundtrack. Many reviewers say the experience is harder to access when servers are empty; some also report unpleasant public lobbies, clunky movement, or weapon balance concerns.
At the start of each round, players must uncover the Don's killer by finding Clues. Delivering enough Clues to the Clue Processing Unit reveals a Traitor. Traitors conspire against the Innocents, Detective, and Doctor. Traitors win by eliminating all Innocents, while Innocents win by identifying and eliminating the Traitors.
At the start of each round, the Don's body appears. When a player discovers it, Clues spawn across the map for players to collect. Delivering enough Clues to the C.P.U. reveals a Traitor. Beware: Traitors can sabotage the C.P.U. by shutting off its power supply!
