Take control of fighters from across Dragon Ball in fast-paced 3D arena battles. The roster includes more than 180 fighters, each with signature abilities, techniques, and transformations.
Fly and rush toward opponents, charge energy, counter attacks, and use special moves in close or ranged combat. Transformations and character switches add options during fights, while clashes can turn powerful attacks into contests of timing.
Play story episodes from the perspectives of eight characters, with certain battles offering branching what-if routes. Other options include offline and online battles, tournaments with different victory conditions, and creating and sharing custom battle scenarios.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its fast, showy combat, dramatic effects, wide fighter roster, and nostalgic feel, with local matches among friends especially appealing. Reviews also repeatedly criticize the cost and packaging of additional content, and some describe the story and other solo modes as sparse. Online matchmaking, balance, and the quality of competitive matches are recurring concerns.
