Chivalry 2 is an online medieval combat game where you fight as part of opposing teams in large battles. Matches include objective-based assaults and defenses, as well as other multiplayer modes.
Combat centers on melee weapons and actions such as attacking, blocking, parrying, and countering. You can choose from four base classes that expand into more than ten subclasses, with a range of weapons and support items such as barricades and supply crates.
Battlefields include castles, villages, and other contested locations, where teams can use siege equipment such as catapults. Mounted combat lets players fight from horseback, and you can switch between first- and third-person views.
Players who enjoy Chivalry 2 often praise its close-quarters sword combat and the unpredictable chaos of large battles, where skillful fights can give way to funny, improvised encounters and expressive battle cries. Some also like learning weapon timings and taking part in objective-driven sieges. Negative reviews frequently report hackers disrupting or crashing matches, server access problems, a steep gap between new and veteran players, and hostile chat; other players say their experience with cheating or the community has been less severe.
