You play as Jack, a thief working in a small American town in the 1980s. This prologue introduces his early jobs, which include stealing from houses, trailers, and gas stations and completing a heist.
Before entering a property, learn about its tenants and wait for a suitable moment. Use a hammer or crowbar to break in, search for valuables such as VCRs and cassette players, and disguise yourself as an electrician to fool tenants.
Take jobs from shady characters, earn cash and reputation, and drive away when a theft draws attention. Police may chase you, and bribery is one way to avoid being wanted.
Players who enjoyed the game often highlight its 1980s atmosphere and the stealth-focused process of casing locations, searching for loot, and breaking in.
