Yuki Ichidoji discovers Vanguard after following her brother, Rasen, and is drawn into the cardfighting scene. She sets out to revive the team Setsugetsuka and faces fighters from rival teams, alongside familiar characters from the overDress series.
The game adapts Vanguard's Standard-format, one-on-one card battles. Build decks from a card pool of more than 1,000 cards, use unit abilities, attack and defend, and reveal cards during battles to activate trigger effects. The game automates the rules and includes an in-depth tutorial.
