You play a female StoryDiver entering the Doppelganger, a dangerous world within the Babel Cross. Contestants from different races climb Babel Tower through a series of trials, where victory promises rewards and defeat threatens an entire race. In this first world, you meet fellow human StoryDivers Saint, Victor, and Kruger; seeing your reflection can trigger a deadly doppelganger.
Explore rooms, inspect objects for clues and key items, and solve more than 30 puzzle maps. You can also help other contestants, encounter chase and boss sequences, and make your way through spaces where a missed item can affect later progress.
Dialogue choices shape relationships with characters and open individual routes. Points and collected items support progression, while exploring and replaying can reveal further story and endings. There are 15 endings, including bad endings, character endings, and a grand finale.
Players who enjoyed the game frequently praise its character cast, story twists, and the mix of puzzle-solving with relationship routes.
