This first-person psychological horror anthology follows creators consumed by their work. Play as the Painter in a shifting Victorian mansion, the Painter’s Daughter and Wife in stories tied to his family, the Actor aboard an ocean liner, the Director on a troubled film set, and the Writer in an abandoned lighthouse.
Explore rooms and corridors that change as you move through them, inspect objects, and find notes and other clues that reveal parts of each story. Environmental puzzles and occasional pursuit sequences break up the exploration, while the Painter and Actor can use a lantern or flashlight in some encounters.
The collection brings together Layers of Fear, Layers of Fear 2, their released DLC, and additional chapters that connect the separate stories. Choices can affect endings in several chapters, and the lighthouse story frames the anthology as the Writer tries to make sense of its connections.
