Shift the Turn Order
A new JRPG from veteran studio AQUAPLUS, commemorating 20 years of the multi-media Utawarerumono series. This is the story of a man who will be sung about in legends.
Developed by AQUAPLUS · Published by DMM GAMES, Shiravune

Oshtor lives in the frontier province of Ennakamuy until he meets Shunya, a girl who claims his father is still alive. He sets out with her toward the unmapped land of Arva Shulan to learn the truth, meeting new companions along the way.
Travel through towns, wilderness, and dungeons in a 3D world, advancing the story through main events and side requests. Exploration and character interactions accompany Oshtor’s journey across Yamato.
Combat is turn-based and uses a ring-shaped timeline to determine when characters act. Skills can alter positions in the turn order, while leveling, equipment, and character development help prepare the party for tougher fights.
Players who enjoy the game often point to its character-focused story, party interactions, and connections to the Utawarerumono world; several also praise the music and voice work. Reactions to the JRPG systems are mixed: some find the ring-based combat engaging, while others feel battles rely too heavily on levels or become repetitive. Reviews also frequently criticize the 3D presentation and the time spent traversing large areas.
