Enter a monster-filled mansion whose halls change between visits. The game casts you as a lone explorer searching its rooms, grounds and deeper areas while uncovering pieces of the place’s mystery.

Movement and combat take place on a grid, with enemies acting in response to your moves. Fight with melee weapons or firearms, conserve ammunition and health items, use spells and other supplies, and navigate traps by studying enemy behavior and choosing your actions carefully.

Each expedition brings a risk of losing the items you carry if you die. Returning to the shelter with an escape item lets you store or sell loot and prepare for another run; your character level resets, while learned spells, inventory upgrades and equipment improvements can carry forward. The shelter also offers a shop and storage, and further dungeons provide additional challenges.

A recurring draw in the supplied reviews is the blend of turn-based Mystery Dungeon-style exploration with a retro survival-horror presentation. Players often enjoy the careful, tactical decisions around enemy patterns, ammunition, healing and when to retreat, as well as finding and improving equipment across runs. The PS1-era visuals and sound are also frequently appreciated. Some reviewers, however, found the later progression repetitive or grindy, and others criticized the inventory or the consequences of dying.
