You play as a quiet boy who wakes in a cave with no memory. As he explores Mimiga Island, he discovers that its rabbit-like inhabitants are in danger from a scientist and becomes involved in their struggle.
Run, jump, and shoot through connected areas filled with enemies, platforming hazards, secrets, and boss fights. Find different weapons, gather experience to strengthen them, and avoid damage that can reduce their levels.
Your choices and discoveries can lead to different endings. The game also includes challenge modes and, according to player reviews, two-player co-op; graphics and soundtrack options let you switch between different presentations.
