In a world stirred by the Red Star, you play as the Simulacrum, emerging from a cocoon to collect Ichor—the blood of gods—from the horrors that hoard it. Your journey takes you through the ruins of the First Civilisation and the depths beneath the Gray City.
Explore connected regions, fight enemies and bosses, and use movement abilities to reach new areas and uncover secrets. Finding new abilities can open routes through places you have already visited, while artifacts scattered across the world offer additional powers.
Equip Relics and Souls to shape your combat style, and excavate and expand your shrine to gather followers. Growing the shrine can reveal further rewards, abilities, and secrets; New Game+ also offers three challenge modifiers.
Players who enjoy Voidwrought often single out its open-ended exploration, hidden rewards, hand-drawn environments, and atmospheric music. Some also appreciate how new movement abilities support backtracking and how Relics and Souls let them adjust their combat approach. Experiences with controls, combat difficulty, and boss balance vary; several reviews find movement slippery or enemies overly durable, while others enjoy the challenge or find later fights easy.
The coming of the Red Star heralds a new age. Emerging from its cocoon, the Simulacrum is driven to collect Ichor, the blood of the gods, from the monstrosities who hoard it.
Voidwrought is a fast-paced action-platformer with tight traversal, varied abilities, and formidable boss battles. Find and equip powerful Relics and Souls to customize your playstyle. Excavate into the rubble of the Gray City to construct a shrine filled with loyal followers.

With sharp controls, engaging exploration, and deep lore to discover, Voidwrought is a dynamic addition to the modern Metroidvania genre.
