In Andergast, young bird-catcher Geron is asked to deal with crows behaving strangely and troubling the kingdom’s residents. The assignment draws him into a wider fantasy adventure alongside Nuri, a fairy.
Explore illustrated locations, inspect objects, collect and combine items, and talk with the people you meet to work out how to proceed. Solving environmental puzzles moves the story through its chapters.
Magic adds a distinctive puzzle tool: Geron can break fragile objects, while Nuri can restore them. You can choose between difficulty levels, which affect how much assistance the game provides.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its hand-drawn environments, moody fairytale atmosphere, music, and fantasy story. Some also find its point-and-click puzzles satisfying, while others say certain solutions are hard to infer or require too much experimentation. Reactions to the characters, voice acting, and animation are mixed.
