On the planet LOEK III, you take on missions to protect oxygen-producing Cores from alien attacks. Choose from four character classes, each with distinct strengths, weapons, and play styles.
Before each wave, place walls to shape enemy routes and set up defensive towers. When attacks begin, fight in first person, using your weapons to support the defenses and respond to threats.
Play the campaign alone or in co-op with up to four players. Choose weapons, towers, and perks for your loadout; earn ranks to unlock more options, and use Feats of Strength to add difficulty. Comic pages unlocked by completing maps reveal more of the setting and story.
Players who enjoy Sanctum 2 often praise its unusual blend of tower defense planning and first-person combat, especially the chance to help their own defenses during enemy waves. Co-op with friends and experimenting with characters, weapons, towers, and perks are recurring highlights. Some reviewers find the difficulty uneven or the later missions challenging to handle alone, while others appreciate the strategic challenge.
