You play a hero racing to stop regional bosses from casting spells that will destroy the world. Each stage begins with a 30-second countdown and a new threat to overcome.
Explore maps, fight monsters for gold and experience, and visit towns to heal, buy supplies, and plan. Time pauses in towns; in some, you can pay at a goddess statue to reset the countdown, with each use costing more.
Build strength with levels and equipment, then carry eligible gear forward through the stages. Missions can have special twists and different ways to finish, with titles and some equipment tied to how you complete them. The game also includes other timed modes and a 300-second chapter.
