In a world overrun by zombies, you guide a survivor through dangerous arenas and can recruit up to two more to form a squad. Each character brings distinct weapons and abilities, and the team fights together.
You mainly control movement and positioning as your characters aim and attack automatically. Defeat zombies to gain experience, then choose upgrades for weapons, skills, and team stats; combine characters and upgrades to shape each run.
Between runs, spend points on persistent character and team improvements, unlock further upgrades, and take on missions and different modes. Runs also feature bosses, special enemies, and map hazards, with options ranging from timed survival to wave-based and one-hit challenges.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its squad-focused twist on auto-firing zombie combat, the satisfaction of growing stronger, and experimenting with characters and upgrades. Forge your squad to your liking with permanent upgrades. Decide upon how you'd like to progress and if you change your mind just reset and try something else. Pursue the specialization you enjoy the most and observe how your team becomes death, destroyer of worlds.
Assert your dominance over the enemy by increasing the virus' strength and making the hell's army stronger and faster. And when you finally stand at the top, ascend to a higher state of being with the unique prestige system, proving that you're not afraid of anything.
