You work at a ship graveyard, taking on contracts to dismantle wrecked vessels. New ships can be ordered through a computer at your home base, with each job setting out tasks and materials to collect.
Break ships down piece by piece using tools such as a hammer, saw, and torch. Remove large sections with a crane, and inspect vessels for hazards like gas leaks, live electricity, and toxic areas before working around them.
Collect and sort scrap such as steel, aluminum, and copper. Use recovered materials to fulfill contracts, sell what remains, and improve your equipment so you can take on progressively larger ships.
Players who enjoy the game often describe dismantling ships as satisfying, absorbing, and relaxing: the methodical work and huge vessels provide a simple activity to settle into, while tool upgrades, contracts, and new ships offer a sense of progress. Some also enjoy figuring out how to take vessels apart and watching sections come down. Other reviews find the routine repetitive, and many raise technical complaints, especially about co-op.
