The Kangaroo Conspiracy

From the Devs

🦘Mainstream in Germany. Completely WTF everywhere else.🦘

(...and fully playable in English)

The Kangaroo Conspiracy is an absurdist retro platformer based on one of Germany’s most popular comedy franchises — a mainstream cult phenomenon about conspiracy logic, anti-authority satire, false wisdom, and a talking kangaroo with red boxing gloves, strong opinions, and a talent for being confidently wrong.

What is this game, exactly?
It’s a retro-inspired pixel-art jump’n’run adventure, following the surreal plot of the film: Marc-Uwe (the human) and the Kangaroo (the marsupial) get sucked into a conspiracy — and also, a computer game. That’s not a metaphor. They literally become pixel characters and must fight their way out while battling conspiracy theorists, questionable logic, and their own meta-commentary.

Features:

• 21 levels of kangaroo chaos featuring jumping, fighting, puzzling and multiple choice dialog-ing

• Subgenres include: Jump’n’Run, Jump’n’Box, Puzzle-Adventure-Jumping, and Rhythm-Jumping

• Funky soundtrack featuring GERMAN RAP, if you can imagine that!

• 21 decidedly un-cinematic in-game cutscenes with occasional attempts at humor

• 10 Steam achievements

• Certified: FUNNY (by Marc-Uwe Kling himself — you can trust him, he’s getting all the residuals)

Achtung!
May contain traces of Wanderlust, Zeitgeist, Fremdschämen, and a very German marsupial from Australia.
