In Thronefall, you rule a small kingdom threatened by waves of enemies. Each map follows a day-and-night cycle: use daylight to prepare your settlement, then face attackers after dark until the threat is defeated.
Spend gold on economy, defenses, and military buildings at designated sites around the map. Decide whether to invest in income or protection, upgrade structures, recruit troops, and direct your forces as enemies approach from different routes.
You also control the king directly in battle, supporting your troops with a chosen weapon. Across 10 maps, progression adds weapons, perks, and challenges; optional mutators let you raise the difficulty and change how you approach a level.
