We Love It's Guide to…

Locke(d)

You wake in a room opposite a mysterious stranger who wants to talk. Through this compact, linear visual novel, you follow a conversation that raises questions about freedom, identity, perception, and artificial intelligence. Most of the experience is reading dialogue. Brief point-and-click segments let you inspect objects in the room, including items such as a computer, a moon, and a necklace. The story develops through the exchange and these small interactions, drawing on ideas inspired by John Locke. Its presentation is focused on dialogue, with a restrained anime-inspired visual style and an atmospheric tone.

Wake across from a stranger, question freedom and identity in conversation, and inspect a few objects in a short visual novel.
