You play as Ghost, searching Ciggy City Suites and its surroundings for your missing friend, rapper Big Mud. The setting is a strange, corporate-run city populated by taggers, residents, and other peculiar characters.
Explore the multi-floor hotel and nearby areas at your own pace, talk with locals, hunt for secrets, and spray graffiti on hidden tag spots. Optional discoveries and activities, including photo prompts and a minigame, add things to find along the way.
Traversal tools help you reach more of the environment: the Double Js let you sprint and double jump, while the Portable Launcher sends you airborne. You can also search for hidden master tapes featuring new music.
Players often enjoy exploring the strange city, finding tags and secrets, and spending time with its offbeat characters and humor. The distinctive art direction and music also come up repeatedly, as do the relaxed, freeform feel and new traversal tools. Some reviewers, however, felt the sequel was too similar to the first game or shorter and less rewarding to explore.
