Officer Jia has vanished, and a classified message points to the CaseCracker 2.0 system. You play as a test subject using the system to investigate a series of cases and uncover what connects them.

Search reports and other case materials for keywords, then use new leads to access further information. Investigations include police procedures such as retrieving footage, seeking warrants, accessing systems, and cracking codes; clues can also appear in images and audio recordings.

Cases can be investigated independently, but their characters and evidence connect to wider threads. Alongside the main investigations, the game includes additional puzzles, some of which extend beyond the game itself.

Players who enjoy text-based investigation often praise the active clue-searching and the satisfaction of piecing together a case. Cross-case connections and the broader story are recurring draws, and some players also enjoy the extra puzzles.
