q.u.q. is a surreal visual novel following Hacchi, an exhausted girl wandering a barren desert while dragging a giant gun. Her journey brings her into contact with a Stranger and other unusual figures. Players read dialogue and make choices that affect Hacchi’s encounters and the course of the story. Comedy, melancholy, and unsettling moments mix as glimpses of her past and a friendship emerge. The branching story has nine endings, including fatal outcomes, and players can revisit choices to explore different paths. Its presentation combines retro-inspired art with a varied soundtrack.
